From January to April this year, the Ministry of Labor and Workforce Development (Mitradel) has delivered 2.338 work permits to foreigners, as stated on the website of the entity statistics. Most permits issued were in the ranks of professionals (532), married to a national (402), and humanitarian reasons (294).
Regarding permits denied to foreign works the figure totals 177.
Minister of Labor and Workforce Development, Luis Ernesto Carles, has indicated that it will renew work permits to foreigners who are legally in the country.
These renovations are linked to the change of provisional license foreigners who acquired him in migratory regularization processes known as «melting pot».
The projection of the National Immigration Service (SNM) is attending to renew their temporary license about 30 thousand foreigners from approximately 39 thousand. For developing this purpose, appointments for renovations are being done through the website of the entity: www.migracion.gob.pa/
